Very poor durability May 10, 2003

In the 18 months I've owned this blender, I've been through four blender jars! The first time, the blade assembly was loose and couldn't be tightened. The other times, the blade assembly bearings rusted out. I never let the bottom of the assembly get wet, but it still happens without fail. A very poor design. When the blender works, it's very nice. And I have to say that the company has good customer service. But I need a reliable blender, so I'm moving on.
