Motor Died December 3, 2002

I had my blender for eleven months before the motor died. The company paid for my return shipping and quickly sent me a brand new replacement. (much to their credit.)
I never was too happy about the unit. Bowl is not easy to keep clean. Residue has a tendency to collect at sides of bowl at edges of the four reeinforcement shapes. The removable rubber gasket on lid is no pleasure to clean and reinstall either.
My original unit was very noisy due to too much free play in the cutting blade assembly... my replacement unit is much quieter.

All in all, I guess it's a pretty good blender for the money... but I wouldn't buy another one.
Judging from the other reviews, and my own experience, it would seem there is a serious problem with the unit's reliability and the company's quality control.
