    It's ok August 4, 2006
Reviewer: yuna solon from New YorkHere's some pros and cons: Pros: - it presses all the juice out of the pulp -i've had the k and K manual press and this is less expensive and inmy opinion easier to use, and requires the same amount of muscle power to pump. -makes delicious pulp free juice from everything i tried -you probably get more juice out of your fruits and veggies than centrifugal juicer but i love my Breville as it's fast, easy and fast to clean etc. -it's small for a small space- i lived in a dorm room at college and i iused this all the time to make apple juice with apples from my cafeteria. (try stealing apples from a college cafeteria- it's like you have the food police there watching your every move.) - i didn't take it with me when i left from college- i regret that now- it has it's uses if you take everything into account. now i'm interested in pressing the pulp i get from juicing and maybe these babies could help but now i have to buy it all over again if i want it but so far i like the yield of my breville- it's much faster- and i bought some nut milk bags so i could press the pulp with my hands so it remains yet to be seen if i'll buy this press again.
cons:- only three elastic baggies come with it and to make 2 16 ounces of juice you have to rinse out the pulp from the baggies and reuse it. i couldn't find out where to get more baggies so i could juice faster -the baggies are too elastic. i blended the apples in my champ blender and at first it pressed everything out great. then the holes for the baggies became too big and it would only press apple sauce. so what i had to end up doing is grating the apples into long strips ith my joyce chen mandolin. it actually worked the same and i got the same amount of juice from grating than when i blended. - you've got to use muscle to force it to press- not a lot of muscle but you gotta use those puny atrophied muscles if you're planning to use this. - it takes a long time to press, starting with the preperation and then seperating small amounts into the baggie. especially with citrus you have tocut them in 4 and then press each piece by itself. -don't overfill the tiny pulp bags or you'll have it leak out. like another reviewer said 3/4 full. i think i used rubberbands to tie off them but i can't remember you at least have to twist the baggies on top so pulp doesn't come out.
