Discontinued Item, lasted only one year August 9, 2007

I purchased this blender one year and one month ago. The switch stopped working properly 4 weeks after the warranty expired. After contacting Villaware, I was told that the blender is discontinued and they offered to replace mine with a blender that has alot less power and alot smaller price tag. Do not buy this blender! It is discontinued and villaware can not repace it with another like it if you have any problems with it. It did not prove to be a quality blender that would last several years in my experience.
