After trying the spiral slicer, I realized that it was very worth the few extra dollars to get another, better slicer. I purchased the slicer in order to make raw pastas, and was completely disappointed. The capacity is very small so you have to process little pieces at a time. The blade is very low quality and it takes a ton of manual effort to use and left the good peel of the zucchinni squash not cut. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Order one of the higher quality slicers.
